We had an amazing time at a private event here on Tuesday. Although we chose a signature drink for the group, they were still very accommodating to all drink requests. The service was phenomenal as well! I am allergic to seaweed paper and I prefer cooked sushi, they brought out my own food to make sure I had something to eat. All of the food we tried was flavorful and so yummy. Would definitely recommend for dinner or a private event!

We came to this restaurant for team building . It was my first time . The food was flavorful and spicy . The waiter was attentive and courteous. My water glass remained full. That's very important to me . The food was served in a timely manner.

I am always a little wary of modern Asian or Asian fusion restaurants, because I wonder if they are just regular dimsum restaurants with jacked up prices. After dining here, I have to say that the food is indeed very good...with somewhat jacked up prices. Our favorites: * Tuna Truffle Pizza * Steamed Buns with Pork Belly * Hamachi Tartare * Baked Snow Crab Handroll * Tom Yum Sea Bass * Crispy Rice with Wagyu Beef * Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna * Escolar "The Great White" The sushi rolls -- Panda Roll and Red Dragon Roll -- were good, but can be good at other sushi restaurants. Similarly, the Adobo Fried Rice and Pad Thai were good too, but can be good at other restaurants. The only dish that I did not like was the Grilled Vegetables; it was extremely salty. For dessert, we got the Mochi Ice Cream and Coconut Cheesecake. Both were delicious. The Mochi Ice Cream had creative flavors like taro and sweet potato. The Coconut Cheesecake was light and airy, so you won't feel guilty for eating a few more bites. ;)

Dinner with coworkers at Sunda - River North on a Tuesday. Highly recommend making a reservation before, as the place was filled! Everything was delicious and is perfect for group sharing. The kitchen accommodated food restrictions we had in our group and service was very professional and timely. Tons of variety on the menu with choices for everyone. This is a great spot for a date, dinner with friends/coworkers or even a solo night at the bar.

First-time customer here, and Sunda came highly recommended, especially their happy hour menu. The upscale, sexy ambiance is a perfect fit for the River North scene. I was absolutely speechless at how delicious each item on the menu was. I ended up trying several dishes and was thoroughly impressed with each one. I want to gatekeep the pork belly bites, but trust me, you have to add them to your happy hour plans. Even my vegetarian friend's mouth was watering! The only reason my review isn't 5 stars is the service. Despite it not being very busy when I visited (Friday afternoon around 4:30 PM), I sat outside for at least 15 minutes before being acknowledged by a waiter. Neighboring tables were being served, so it was quite odd. Once we were finally served, we encountered at least two different waiters, and there was no consistency. We thought they might be working together, but they clearly were not. It was inconvenient because we wanted to order more dishes, but due to the long wait, we ended up leaving for another happy hour.

I absolutely love the innovative, flavorful dishes Sunda consistently offers and serves. My biggest issue is that it's SO loud inside! Our 7pm dinner felt like it was being served in a nightclub with how high the volume was. I realize this is a high energy spot, but having to yell across our dinner table to have a conversation really detracted from our experience. Otherwise, again, the service and food itself is always excellent!

What an experienxe! We came by for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and were blown away. To start, Sunda now has 2 locations, River North and Fulton Market. For brunch, we went to the River North location. We made reservations prior to arriving, and was able to park in a nearby parking garage during brunch. When you first walk in you're greeted with beautiful decor and a lovely host that will take you to your seat. Once seated we were offered water, and our server quickly Came over and gave us a run through of the menu. We decided to order a variety of things because the entire menu sounded delicious. To start, the ube waffles were absolutely divine. The fresh fruit and the ube drizzle on top made us never want the plate to end. That is until we had the steak and eggs. While the dish itself may sound simple, but there was nothing simple about the unforgettable flavors of the potatoes and the steak. I love bunch, and will say this may be one of my top 5 dishes I've had in such a long time. Currently drooling thinking about it! We also got the Brussel sprout salad which sounds rather basic, but the flavors from sweet to spicy with a nice savory crunch. It really plays with all of the taste buds. Of course we had to try their baos too. We had asked for half pork belly and half kfc (Korean fried chicken) so that we were able to try both. And neither disappointed! If you're looking for that extra crunch in flavor, I highly recommend the fried chicken. If you're looking for one that's rich in flavor, the Adobo pork belly is the move! After hearing about the incredible sumo Bloody Mary, we of course had to see it for ourselves! And boy did it shock us when it came out. The bloody itself could've been a meal all in its own. From the lumpia, to the bao, to the tocino grilled cheese and more. I think we were missing the crab roll on ours, but that's okay because we had tons of other goodies on it try! Our server was excellent in giving us suggestions and explained all of the dishes as they came out so we were able to fully enjoy the flavors of the meal! All in all, we had such a great time! I can't wait to come back and try more. Esp., some of their sushi dishes!

Sunda has been my go-to place when craving Asian cuisine. I recently visited Sunda with a couple of friends for dinner and the experience was good. We ordered a lot of food - Papaya Salad, Steamed Bao, Street Corn, and Vegetarian Pad Thai. I have also ordered Sweet Potato Caterpillar, Grilled Vegetables and miso cauliflower in the past. I have no complaints with the food on any visits. It is always very flavorful. The Steamed Bao was my favorite which was filled with eggplant. For drinks we ordered Luxary Lychee, Grass Tiger and Strawberry Fields. We did not order deserts on this visit but I have tried their Mochi platter in the past and it is a must-try if you like Mochis! Sunda changed their menu recently, earlier they had a separate Vegan menu. Most of their dishes can be made Vegan or Vegetarian, but I think I preferred the older menu slightly more. The ambiance is very cozy with dim lights. It is a great place to opt for date nights or hanging out with friends!

Please remember two things: CRISPY BRUSSEL SPROUTS and CRISPY RICE. Absolute fabulous food here! I've been here twice now, and the food has been phenomenal each time. My favourite drink is the Lychee Pear one (not too sweet, but oh my it's dangerously smooth haha). The ghee notes that are in the crispy rice make this item amazing. Service was phenomenal as well each time. Bonus points - the interior is classy but not too crowded with people. Ambiance was perfect for a nice friends evening or date night!
